Nightmare thinks that dream just betrayed him by siding with the villagers so he 'hates' dream by that I mean he loves him but also hates him. But little did he know that dream was forced to do it all and if he didn't they would banish him leaving nightmare 
vulnerable to the abuse  so he obeyed he had to watch his poor brother get bullied and harmed and he couldn't do anything about it...know the story intro. Dream and nightmare become more close as they go through an adventure through Dreamswap.

Suddenly a portal appears before nightmare and dream and sucks them both into it disappearing into who knows where (I teleported them there)
