Max is a troubled boy in a government-run orphanage, his past is as hidden from him as his special abilities that with the onset of puberty will be making themselves known soon. His life gets turned upside down when he is finally adopted, but that's when things take a turn for the worst, He survived the war, found his missing mother, and got answers to questions to his special abilities, How is he supposed to survive in the middle of the forced Migration of Native American known as the Trail of Tears.
