When Nick Rellic was 14, it was said that a meteor was headed for the earth.
It was big enough to wipe out mankind.
So, mankind being mankind, they blew it up.
Thinking that they saved the world, we celebrated, threw parties and spent our time outside.
But if we had stayed inside we might've survived.
The dust and particles from the meteor spread all around the world, onto us, affecting us. It gave us... abilities.
Soon, people were burning down buildings with a glance, and moving a thousand miles, faster then the speed of light with a single step.

Nick Rellic is now 17, and he has barely survived. He doesn't know how he has, but he's done it all with his trusty sword. 
Nick Rellic doesn't know where his parents are, or how they are, but to him it doesn't matter, because they taught him that if anything ever happens, he comes first before them. Sure he misses them but, it's in his blood now.
Nick Rellic has heard rumours, rumours of an island, and on the island, there's a school that teaches kids to survive, how to wield a blade and their ability. How to resist succumbing to death.
And that's where he's headed.
