Hideko Ichijouji knows what it's like to not fit in. Due to a rare birth defect, she is often made fun of by her peers and even her own cousin. A month after she attempts to cut Ken out of her life and has a falling out with her only friend, Hideko gets a message to take a train from Shibuya to find her "destiny".

She ends up in the Digital World with five other kids and she's supposed to find something called a "Spirit". Will Hideko succeed in her mission... and finally learn to open up to others again?
