Melody Pearl was a young teenage girl when her dad, the only one there for her, died in a tragic accident. She had to move to England with her grandmother, only to be whisked away to Professor Kirke's as World War II started to heat up.

To her surprise, another family was already there - the Pevensies. 

She found them a joy to hang around. That is until they break a window, run away from a mean housekeeper, and end up in a whole new world in a wardrobe.

While in this new world, Melody grows closer to the eldest Pevensie, Peter. Along the way, she learns more about herself, and who she and her family really are.
