"Hi. I'm Margaret or Maggie or Mary. Whichever you prefer. I'm 15 and I was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia about a month ago. I'm not doing so well today." Maggie Hopper has just started to get her life in order when this happened to her. She now has to go through treatments and family drama and secrets that she never had to deal with before. She doesn't really know how to get through this. She was going to be in the play, get her grades back on track, learn to play piano. Anything but spend hours in a hospital and pretend like she isn't fighting for her life every second she continues to live. She refuses to trust anyone new, refuses to let anyone in. When a boy she's never met before comes into the picture, she'll become more reserved than she was before. Despite her vow to barricade herself from the rest of the world, he crashes into her life, feather quill in hand, and teaches her that her last days should be spent continuing to write her story.
