Ethan Salazar is a troublemaker who often pulls pranks at his school in California. One day, he gets caught in a stunt, so his school becomes creative with his punishment, and now the trick's on him.

Since Ethan's family has signed up as hosts for the annual student exchange program, his Vice-Principal decides that Ethan must play tour guide to a geeky kid from Bristol named Theodore Adams. Soon enough, their personalities crash in a fiery turn of events one could only call a shitshow.

Backstories, commitment problems, typical high school angst, and too many "fucks" said and fucks not given. The odds are against them, but in the end, will they succumb to the challenges of youth, or will their unexpected meetup bring forth an unexpected romance?

Set in the diverse city of Vallejo, California.
