Jackson is a 6'2", 19 year old kid in his senior year of highschool. His best friend, Alex, is 5'6", 17, and I the same year. Jackson presents himself in a 50s style, while Alex presents himself in a country club-esque style. Both are very gay, but only Alex realizes it. Alex and his mom aren't in the best financial situation, and since his mom in the type who worries too much about her son, Alex hasn't told her he's gay because he's afraid of stressing her out more. Jackson has a father homophobic enough to kill a passerby and drag then into his lawn if he suspects they're gay. He tells the cops they were trespassing, and the cops believe it (There are good cops, but there's also towns full of corrupt ones). Jackson is mentally abuse by his father, but tries to stay positive. He knows his father has abusive tendencies, but is scared to tell anyone because his father has warmed him "Tell anyone, and I will make damn sure on my momma's grave that I'll put a bullet between your eyes before anyone knows you're gone!"
