I was snapped out of my thoughts when he approached my work area. "Do you need something, sir?" I emphasized the 'sir' and gritted my teeth, giving him the most fake smile I could muster at the moment. I knew that he could tell how annoyed I was based off the amused look on his face. He took pleasure in that, and that irritated me more than I could put into words. Dominic slowly walked around my desk until he was behind my chair. He then gripped the chair with both of his hands and leaned over so that he was right next to my ear. "Yes. I do need something, Ms. Darwood." he sharply let go of the chair and moved to the front of my desk again. "I need you to answer a question that's been bothering me for awhile." My breath hitched in my throat when he got close. No, not because I was flustered. It was because I was resisting the urge to shove my elbow into the side of his face. "What is it?" I didn't remove my gaze off the laptop on my desk and continued to type away as he spoke. "What sounds better-" Dominic placed his palm on my desk, making me look up at him. "Mrs. Darwood-Chevalier or Mrs. Chevalier?" a smug-looking smirk appeared on his face, and I was lost for words. He was confusing. I had seen him around other people. He was so cold, so devoid of emotion. He didn't let anyone speak out against him and he kept everyone in line. But here he was, joking around and letting me tease him back if I wanted to. "Ms. Darwood," I said loudly, clearing my throat. "Sounds just fine." - Isabella Darwood. A 24-year old woman with a fake background and a secret that she wouldn't dare tell anyone. Dominic Chevalier. The 25-year old CEO of Chevalier Technologies, and a man with a charismatic personality that seemed to look more like a facade he put up to keep people under his control. When these two are involved, things always take a dark turn.

She was seated next to the window seat. Strangely, I've been seeing her every day on my way to work, either in the morning or at night, either crossing across the street or catching a glimpse of her back anywhere I go. I grinned as I approached her. I touched her shoulder making her jump slightly. "Is this seat taken?" I questioned why she was looking up at me with big eyes. "Ye-ss, I mean No, no" she mumbled. I raised my brow at her stuttering and took a seat. "So I have a question to ask you." She put her phone down and made straight eye contact with me before leaning back in her chair and crossed her arms. "I believe I may have an answer to your question." I let out a small chuckle at her sudden confidence. "Is it just a coincidence that I've been seeing you for the past three days after our little encounter, or are you a crazy stalker stalking me?" she sighed.
