Y/n and their friend Hop start highschool together. They were both freshman who both wanted to take over Leon's position of "champion" or valedvictorian, which was awarded to the student who had the best grades. The school had a way of ranking students so they would try their best. Y/n and Hop both realize that a lot of other people wanted to become "champion" just like them. It basically became a race of who started to lag behind in class.
