Sonic, Manic and Sonia were struggling with money a few years ago until one day a job offer came. Manic was walking down a path still trying to apply for a job to support his family since Sonia was able to find one and Sonic was looking for one as well. He was about to give up until he saw a paper application for modeling. 

" Hey! I saw this application and I was thinking of appl-"

But on the first night, they stop to stay over in a hotel in a secluded area. The place was practically empty, and they were the only people there apart from the owner, an old man. The place was dark and old, but the room they booked was more better kept, minus the dust. At night, Shadow-rin and Tails hear something, making them look around the dark halls in the middle of the night to investigate. The owner is hiding something, but they don't know what. And they don't want to find out. Though a few weeks after Amy left with the insane Tails from the other dimension, Manic and his friends and Sonic were met with a zombie apocalypse that was caused by Secret-History-Tails (who was unaware of what he done) when he blew up the ones he got rid of. One zombie (a brown and decayed echidna) they captured had an interest for Sonic and Sonic himself felt fond with while helping Sane-Vision Boomer capture Tails even if it means capturing Amy.
