Raelynn Crisp came home from an ordinary shift at work, kicking off her shoes by the front door and shuffling sleepily through the apartment. She stopped in her tracks, half-asleep brain struggling to understand the appearance of the letter. It sat neatly on her kitchen counter, right next to where the blender sat against the wall, and she was certain it hadn't been there when she left.
