In a dystopian future, people underwent a genetic alteration, the reason still unknown but it granted people with psycho-kinetic related abilities, from wielding lightning with one's hands to cast shadows upon the enemy, read minds, immolate object with a thought and many more. 
With the rise of these new "species" of humans, called "The Psy" a new law enforcement department was created to pursue psy related crimes. 
The story follows a newly promoted Psy-Detective and his struggles with different cases he faces along with his partner Alexander Keith; meanwhile he battles with the secrets from his past.

These is a work of fiction of course and I've worked on it for a few years now, five to be exact. 
What started as part of my imagination, a couple of years back I decided to finally put it into words.All Rights Reserved

Three years ago, when I was twelve, a group of my fathers friends stole me from home one night and took me to a lab. My father, being a scientist, loves to experiment on people. But not me. He promises he would never hurt me. But his friends didn't. As they snuck me into the lab, they hooked me up to wires and monitored my heart rate. However, a thunderstorm hit the building and shorted out the cables. But not before I was hit. My heart rate went up drastically and they pulled out the wires. I was so angry I lost my temper. Now the police are looking for me. I shocked those men. And I killed them.

Disclaimer: There is some violence(blood and gore), and some crude language. This story is currently under hiatus. Not sure when I will continue. The story revolves around this organization called the Intergalactic Brigade Force(IBF) which is kind of like a special police made up of people with abilities(powers). The ability persons(AP's) are ranked by letter, Squad A being the best, and Z the worst. The beginning of the story focuses on Squad Y and their mission to stop an arms dealer called Red Coyote. The focus shifts away from them and shows the perspective of a plethora of characters such as a robot cowboy, a crazy mind controller, some weird prison inmates, and later shifts to a school of AP children. I think some may find it boring and maybe complicated but I hope you enjoy if you choose to read.

In their continual expansion, they seeded galaxies with pods and connection satellites. Over time they upgraded their dyson spheres into matryoshka brain Cores. Imagine a computer powered by a star. Citizens of Cores no longer age once they upload their minds into the virtual living system of the Core. While they didn't age, most still choose to cycle through life and death though at a different scale of time compared to our lives. Citizens can visit other planets and live there as if they were on a "vacation". Mercury is Earth's hub connected to the closest Core and Earth is a remote vacation spot for wealthy citizens. When the main character was 10 he witnessed a citizen returning to the Core. The story continues 10 odd years later when he again witnesses a similar situation unfolding and manages to touch the person returning to the Core. This causes him to be swept up in the transfer as well and for his mind to join as a "Guest" user of the Core. As a Guest he has limited powers, a starting balance of zero cr or Citizen credits, and no idea how he can get home. He is the first human to ever become a Guest of a Core. Where money itself is the highest form of their science.
