The Red Thread

What if Kris decided to take a break from the spotlight, unknowing of two men trained to eliminate him from an unknown source, and he finds himself in small, barely known town in Minnesota? Staying at a hotel, he doesn't expect to be hunted down so easily and caught on his way back one night, but he also didn't predict the type of help he received either.
Nina Pinder, recent savior of one of her old idols, long-time homeless, volunteer of the church, library, Humane society, and other assorted charities. She didn't know what to say to the man she suddenly saves after realizing who he was, but, as their lives slowly mingle, she gets to know just exactly who he really is.
A few more near-death experiences help their trust and relationship strengthen, but also pulls Nina deeper into the little 'problem' Kris was going to have to face. He wants to join EXO again, and is going to need her help to get back.
But Kris doesn't really understand what Nina was capable of, and she decides to surprise him until the end. But when Kris's life starts to draw the two apart, will the determined, yet sweet, heart of Nina be able to take it?
