Sampson Whittager hasn't lived with his grandparents in over ten years, but when his father dies of a mysterious illness and his mother falls ill due to her grief, he and his siblings have to make the tough decision of selling the family farm and moving back to the town of Wisteria Willows.

With Sampson soon to turn eighteen, starting public school for the first time, and having to work on the farm to help his grandparents and earn his keep, he doesn't have time to be stressing over silly, childish things.

At least, that's what he keeps trying to tell himself in the midst of strange happenings; recurring dreams from his childhood have come back full-force, people are going missing in the woods surrounding his town, and a strange yet charming boy has quite literally fallen into his life and caused quite a stir.

Sampson's life is a fragile egg, and all he can do is try to balance it in the spoon that is his fate. It's much harder than it sounds.

ORION GRAVES has always been on top. A straight-A, high honors student. Top of his class on the path to valedictorian and an Ivy League school. Until suddenly, that all changes. Orion was outed as transgender at his old school, and became victim to relentless harassment. Not to mention that in June of his junior year, his mother lost her battle with cancer. Now, he must move in with his father-whom he hasn't seen since his parent's divorce when he was 8. Moving all the way from Red, California to Lakeview, Maine, he has to start from the very beginning. But, as he starts his senior year in a brand-new school he tries to keep his transgender identity under the radar, and he's quick to learn that it's not going to be easy to get back on top. Because there's Caleb. CALEB MITCHELL, the star child of Lakeview. Honored for being so well-rounded he probably shouldn't get too close to a hill. Not only that, but he's nice. And funny. And surprisingly good-looking. To Orion, he's impossible to dislike, despite him taking the place of valedictorian. Orion was only ever good for his brains. He's never had anything else. Yet now he's scared that he'll have to lose that too. ---------- Chapter 19 Release: Tuesday, January 28 Chapter 20 Release: Friday, January 31 Chapter 21 Release: Tuesday, February 4 Cover and story by me, @ilovegaydinosaurs / @coolsaige Official Playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2XONF7xeRhcFwDBWpbxmsB?si=7s4Whhq-RlewQIiya3UwQw
