Ayanna Mtumasela is a lively 32-year-old office coordinator living in Johannesburg, working at a record label. Ayanna's friend Snothando persuades her to join a trip to Richmond for Slindile's lobola negotiations, despite Ayanna's initial hesitation. Snothando's enthusiasm ultimately convinces her to go.
Ayanna's love life takes a turn when she meets Syanda Zondo, a mysterious 36-year-old businessman with a troubled past, during his brother's lobola negotiations. Both are weighed down by previous heartaches, raising the question of whether they can overcome their fears and embrace the new possibilities that lie ahead.
