i stood there in the crowd, completely dazed as i watched him up on stage, sweat evident on his golden skin.

'callouses on your fingers'

my eyes trailing and taking in every detail of him, from the way his fingers made his guitar cry to the way his feet danced him across the floor.

'and when you look my way'

my breath hitched in my throat as i saw his eyes finally lock on mine, my heart pounding in my chest and everything around me comes to a slow.

'that's when i wake'

suddenly everything around me vanishes. i jump up panting heavily, realization soon hitting me.
