Shirley Jackson (1916-1965) was an American writer best-known for her work in the genres of horror and mystery. In this short story, Laurie tells his parents about a naughty boy named Charles.
I loved this story and now i want to bestow the knowledge of one of the greatest writers to me.

These stories are and will be the result. I also include the background to the story for the curious but I'll keep the identities secret. I don't want you chasing them down in search of ideas for your next novel. :) The Daylight Room: A very young boy understands that what he did was wrong. What he doesn't understand is that the punishment is much, much wronger.

" Stay". " pardon me". I said. Not in that rude English manner but out of surprise. " just for a little longer. Could you stay. Come intro the garden with me ". he said. An enchanted garden, a tale that exceeds time. Join the boy who loves a girl he mustn't love and a girl love a ghost she doesn't fully understand. A romance in a thriller. Who exactly is the silhouette and why does he have no parents or never leave the old white picket fence of his house. For the longest time. Since I can remember, the only thing I was ever good at was writing stories or telling them. It's the only thing that got me through the day or even for the majority of high school. This story ' the boy in the garden' was inspired by a house I found one day coming back from school. The story is my narration of what I think could have happened to the house and inspired by a former crush I had when I was in the 9th grade. I hope you enjoy it .Complete
