Their fingers slipped apart. Richie's hand rested on his stomach while Eddie's hand fell to the space between them. Richie looked like he was trying to figure out a puzzle. "You okay?" Eddie asked.
Richie looked over at Eddie for a second with a small grin and a wink. "Peachy," he said. But by the way he looked back up at the ceiling, his smile disappearing straight away, Eddie knew he was lying.

"You have to admit, Richie. Connor, Mr. James, all the fights you get in, my mom being crazy, everything going wrong right now... the common denominator is me." "How would you even know what the common denominator is? You hate math." Richie argued back, earning a small smile from Eddie. "The common denominator is obsessiveness. Not you Eds." Eddie smiled more at this and laughed. "You're obsessed with me?" He raised a brow at Richie. Richie poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, contemplating this before giving him a soft smile. "Something like that, Eddie." ~ Secrets are no stranger to the Losers club. Eddie struggles with a past he had forgotten, brought up by a familiar stranger making an appearance in the midst of chaos. Richie learns to become comfortable with his own secret once Connor threatens to reveal it to the school. Connor is out to hurt him, to get revenge on Richard Tozier. But for what? Soon he realizes the way to hurt Richie, is to go after the thing he cherishes most. Something is off to group of friends and they begin to suspect play from a demon fought years ago, seemingly gone forever. Change happens whether you like it or not. Something's can't die. I own none of the characters. If you haven't seen It chapter 1 and 2 you're gonna be confused. A lot of the important details in this story are based off the two movies and the behind the scenes and deleted scenes stuff. Also some details from the book, although if you haven't read the book you should be okay. Enjoy 😉 **** Disclaimer: The title photo DOES NOT belong to me! The Time Taken to Understand (BoyxBoy)

30 parts Complete Mature

Alec grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him down next to him. It was like he was embarrassed to meet his eyes, because he instead pressed his face into Mark's chest. For a moment, Mark was worried that Alec would hear his pounding heart with his head pressed into his chest, but then he realized he didn't really care. Before the other boy could fall back asleep, he asked a question. "Alec, why did you pretend to be drunk?" He knew that in asking this, he was admitting to the other boy that he cared. Alec's head lifted and he looked up at him with wide eyes "You know why." Their gazes locked, and Mark didn't dare blink. He thought back to Adam's words from earlier. Take the time to understand. So Mark did. He thought of his hands on Alec, taking advantage of the fact that the boy was wasted and most likely wouldn't remember in the morning. Then he thought about how he wasn't the only one to put his hands there. Sometimes they were guided, by Alec's own hands, and it realized that that if he wasn't drunk at the time, but sober, then Alec must have wanted his hands there. And then, Mark understood.
