How do you come back from it? How do you lose everything you thought your future would be in an instant, and move on? How do you learn how to breathe again? How do you just...how do you go on?

I'll tell you, you pick yourself up by your bootstraps, you look at that ultrasound photo of your son and you inhale. You just have to do it. You can't just stop. Not when there is a tiny little life dependent on you. Despite your desire to crawl into a little ball and never unravel again, he needs you.
So you do it.

Amara Gray Parker lost her best friend, her husband, the father to her unborn child. She always knew it could happen, as he was serving overseas, but she never let herself dwell on the possibilities. He never wanted her to.

She vows to devote her life to her late husband and their beautiful son, Liam Austin Parker. He is all she needs. His perfect little smile and eyes, blue like his daddy. He is everything.

Everett Jacob Masen, spent his life serving, protecting and helping others. First as a marine, now as a firefighter. Raised by a single mom with his younger sister, Everett was never the type of guy to 'play' women. He always had a goal; he wanted to fall in love and have a family. He began to lose hope of ever doing that as he was now twenty-nine and the last girl he dated, well she was just horrible.

One chance meeting changes everything for the three of them. Everett isn't shy about what he wants, and what he wants is Amara and Liam.

I wish I could say life has been easy. But that would be a lie. Having a parent pass, all but easy. Having a great group of friends though, that only makes it easier to cope. The down fall of that group of friends though, is that after a funeral, long summer vacation, the one friend I looked most forward to seeing, I can't even form a sentence with now. --- The summer before his 8th grade year, Calvin Truitt, his father John, and little brother Brayden went through a devastating loss. Calvin and Brayden lost their mother in a long, unglorious fight to the big C, pancreatic for the record. And John, lost the love of his life, his wife, and his very best friend. His friends spent that entire summer giving nothing but comfort, love, and not to mention good times that Calvin didn't want but absolutely needed. Minus one friend. That one friend, Delilah Martin. Delilah Martin spent that summer away, visiting with her grandparents in Nevada, but little to Calvins surprise, when they came back on that first day of school, Delilah was no longer that girl he always knew. Braces were gone, body filled out, coming in to her own sense of style, and it had Calvin shaking in his shoes. Fast forward 4 years, and barely a word has been said between he, and his former bruh girl best friend turned baddie, until, Calvin's fresh new sister shows up in beautiful St Augustine Florida, and just as much as he and his friends rocked her world, she rocked his by befriending beautiful Delilah Martin. Delilah, she is the girl Calvin has always dreamed of. When it comes to Calvin, Delilah feels that she might as well keep dreaming. But with the help of Haven, Tucker, Colten, Ricky, and Shay, not to mention the loud and over-opinionated friends he's come to share with Haven from New Orleans, can Calvin make his dream girl his reality?

These Things That We've Done (Kellin Quinn) {Book 2}

47 parts Complete

Sequel to This Time I'll Hang, Close the Door. Summer Quinn has been through a lot. There's been secrets, lies, changes, and promises. Finally some good events are taking place. But when good things come along, bad things have to balance the world out, right? What happens when the unimaginable happens? When the secrets come out, the lies unfold, the changes are for the worse, and the promises break? Well, that's for Mr. and Mrs. Quinn to find out. --QUICK NOTE! Kellin Quinn is not with Kate in this story. Instead he is with some fictional character I made up in my head (cool right?). Also, I do not own any band members nor famous people mentioned in this story, even though I would like to. Thank you for understanding.-- Warning: Sexual content, vulgar language, self harm, medical issues, death, and violence will be in this story. I will warn you when and if characters in the story are getting it on, when and if characters in the story are dying (or in pain either caused by others or themselves), and when and if something goes down that I don't think all of you want to read. But, I will only warn you all if it is truly needed. :) Dedicated to: @InnocentDemon69 Cover by: simplystiles-
