Miles McWilliams. A 16 year old boy. He has lived a quiet life on the suburbs of Chicago. He likes to not draw attention to himself unless it is needed. He isn't popular and he is by no means liked by many at his school. He was outed as gay when he was 14, not by choice though.
Carter Dickson is the opposite. Also 16. Also lived in the suburbs of Chicago for his entire life, he loves unsolicited attention. He is a sports jock (like most popular kids are) and tries to talk and be friends with everyone. Unfortunately for him, Miles isn't looking for new friends and shuts Carter down pretty quickly.
Will Carter be able to break the thick wall that is, Miles' emotions? Or will Carter finally leave the poor boy alone. Time will tell.
