Marinette was head over heels for her partner, Chat Noir.
Adrien's confession to Marinette was rejected. Heartbroken, he opens up to Ladybug.
Through their conversation, Ladybug puts two and two together and realizes she just rejected the person she is in love with as Marinette.
Feeling horrible for her decision, she begins to pay Adrien Agreste a couple of nightly visits.
