Beaming smiles, etched scowls. Perfumes and flowers, rotten eggs and sewers. Parties and luncheons, assassination and evil plots. Something is definitely wrong with this scenario; there is undoubtedly an antagonist.

A homicidal maniac who calls himself The Retribution takes pleasure in sending out anonymous messages and threatening lives. For some reason, the infamous fashion designer, Deidra Immanuelle Ember and her boyfriend's family have been his main targets and they have realised that he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants. But really, what does he want?

Trust becomes a scarce commodity mainly stemming from the secrets revealed along the way as the hunt for the anonymous person continues but even after he had been caught, there was still no peace for Elle and the people she considers family. It was either the fellow had nine lives or they had been misled the whole time and The Retribution was a cover for someone even more dangerous, but who?
