In a world where might is right and power is the law, the old Thigian empire comes clashing with the younger Alamarian power over dominion of the Baldic sea. While civilizations collide and nations tremble, history is remade and written in blood. Intrigues run high and passions of love, hate, honour and duty run on both sides. To love a nation is to sacrifice, to pay a price. And both sides pay the ultimate price. For nations are held on pillars of blood. One will fall, one will rise.

Tragedy strikes at the heart of the Rundilean Empire. A king has been murdered and the long sustained peace is threatened for the first time since the founding of the empire, generations ago. All the while, to the far north, in a desolate land known only as the Tundra, an old enemy is stirring for the first time in thousands of years. Amongst the political discord and supernatural strife, sits Audriel Pellinor, heir to the throne of the empire, who refuses to follow tradition and find a husband. This epic tale follows a myriad of people across the empire who have everything at stake in this plight. At the center of it all, Audriel struggles with the uncertainty of who she can trust as plots abound to kill her and usurp her throne. First draft completed. Will be editing hard copy now. Note, I'm in the process of adding character lists at the back of the book for any who might be confused as to who is who.
