A Court of War and Sacrifice
A year has passed since Seren Marzena returned to the Night Court with her mate, Azriel. Their time of rest is coming to an end. Plans long kept silent are now being enacted. All across Prythian, threats are revealing themselves. The three Mortal Queens have returned and pledged their allegiance to Koschei, an ancient god who is determined to see Prythian crumble beneath him. Old allies are becoming new enemies as Koschei's influence spreads. He and the Queens must be defeated before they locate Prythian's most powerful artifacts. Time is running out for everyone. If the Courts cannot band together and summon their remaining allies in time, all will be lost. Seren isn't willing to see that happen, and she will do whatever she can to aid her family in their fight to save Prythian. Barry's life
Two people fall in love in unlikely circumstances. They have a lot of psychological issues and mistrusts in the order of things to prevent them from finding themselves and each other. I am a reader of crime novels and hard science fiction almost exclusively, and yet this story, which I have been writing for a long time, is a love story, I can't explain it even to myself. The characters will have to work through hardship and evolve to be able to surrender to the magical things around them and the flow of the universe and the love of other people. This story still is a work in progress, it has holes and it is to be continued
