It's been over a millennia, and Merlin is still alive. He looks exactly the same as he did in his Camelot days, only more built and with a beard. He's been through hell and back, still remembering everything and everyone. And he will always have a small hope that Arthur will return.
What he didn't know, was, that Arthur will return but not before a few knights presented themselves.
