इस घर के तहखाने में एक छोटा सा अंधेरा कमरा था। जिसमें एक लड़की को बंद करके रखा गया था। कमरे में अधेरा होने के कारण उसका चेहरा साफ़ तो नहीं दिख रहा था, लेकिन कुछ हद तक दिख रहा था। उसके चेहरे पर कोई भाव नहीं थे। फिर भी उसकी आंखों से लगातार आंसू बह रहे थे जो रुकने का नाम नहीं ले रहे थे। उसके शरीर पर कई ज़ख्म थे जिनसे साफ़ पता चल रहा था कि किसी ने उसे बुरी तरह पीटा है, और इन ज़ख्मों की वजह से वो बहुत दर्द में थी। लड़की वहीं बैठी थी, तभी अचानक उसे कमरे में किसी के आने की आहट सुनाई दी, जिसे सुनकर वह डर गई और कांपने लगी। इसी बीच एक महिला कमरे में आई, जिसकी उम्र करीब 40 साल होगी और उसने साधारण सफेद साड़ी पहन रखी थी। आते ही उसने लड़की की ओर देखा और गुस्से से बोला, "हे मेरी महारानी! अब तो तुम्हें होश आ गया होगा और तुम्हें सबक भी मिल गया होगा। इसलिए अब मुह खोलने से पहले सोच लो, वरना मैं तुम्ह
