One minute Cerelia Sullivan was walking home from work and the other she finds herself tied up in a dark room with no recollection of how or why she got there.
After getting offered a job across the country, Cerelia was expecting this to be her chance at a peaceful life, away from drama and all the sadness left behind in her home town.
But, like on many other occasions, life doesn't always turn out the way she plans it.
As if she isn't confused enough, she is then thrown in the middle of a war between the Awakened and the Shadowed. Why do they keep calling her Brigid? What does it mean to "awaken" one's blood? And why are the guys who took her following her everywhere?
