I look around, confused. I know I heard something and there's a fresh scent that's unfamiliar to me. I start following the scent trail, the pine needles stabing at my paws when I feel a sudden weight land on top of me. I struggle, trying to see who my attacker is. Even my police training couldn't prepare me for this.
"I never did like intruders." A female's voice says.
"Who are you? And what do you mean 'intruder'?!" I ask in a panic.
"My name is Laila, alpha of the River Pack." She responds with pride.
"Alpha? What even is that? And can you get off me?" I say as I continue to struggle beneath her. I feel the weight being lifted off my back before she speaks again.
"Figures a pet wouldn't understand something so basic." I turn to see a dog of some sort, not a breed I can recognize. She looks similar to me, a German Shepherd but she definitely doesn't smell like one. She has mostly grey fur with some brown and white markings with beautiful golden eyes. She's a lot thinner than a dog should be, I don't even know how she's standing right now, even less able to fight.
"I'm not a pet-" I try to defend myself.
"Don't even try denying it, their scent is all over you. You live with humans, you eat with humans, you sleep with humans, you're a pet." She says, her tail lashes back and forth.
"Hey, I save lives every day! And what do you do?" I fire back. Okay, so that was a bit of an exaggeration, I don't save lives every day, but I do save lives.
"Follow me," she simply replies. I cautiously walk behind her.
"Where are we going?" I ask. She turns towards me with a playful smile.
"I'm about to change your life."

Like everyone calls me on twitch?' 'Yes' When she got back to her friends the first thing she smelled were 3 wolfs! 'Y THE HELL DO I SMELL 3 WOLFS!?' 'It's fine Grace the 3 wolves you smell are your friends they wanted to tell u but since I told them not to I'm telling you go talk to them and show them how beautiful we are! Also you no longer need glasses!' I took a deep breath and spoke "Guys I need to show you something and don't freak out also I know you are werewolf's." There eyes widened but they nodded there heads, I instantly told the guys to turn around or close there eyes, after that I quickly shifted and Elias's gasped at how I looked and quickly told them to turn around after that they the guys run into there tents and Elisa gets undressed and shifts quickly. 'Are we able to speck in mind link to each other in wolf form?' 'Yes just imagine talking to her' "'Testing, testing, one to three does this thing work?"' "'HAHA YAS YOUR WOLF IS BEAUTIFUL!"' Orphan Wolf
An elementary aged wolf raised by humans. Everything changes after his first shift. A continuation of "Alpha Lilly". You can read it without reading the first but you'll know the characters better if you read them in order. The next book will be "Raised By Wolves" a werewolf pup adopted by wild wolves so check it out when it becomes available. Story excerpt "I was found bleeding in the road. They took me to the hospital and saved my life." I say "What were your wounds?" He aks. "Nope my turn. What is this place?" I ask knowing I'm testing his patience but he is obviously boss here and I want answers. "My pack." He answers "your injuries?" I dont know how to answer that so I turn away from him. I dont know what hurt me only the marks it left. "Answer ME!" His words make me stiffen and I feel my hands reach for the bottom of my shirt. I slide it off and turn to the man. A stand there chest exposed. I'm boney from lack of food and bruised from my foster father and brother. Amid all the fresh brusing three white lines stand out stretching from my shoulder to my hip. "This is what they were healing!" I yell trying not to cry. I remember the pain of the marks when they were fresh. Feeling embarrassed I put my shirt back on. "Rouges." The man whispers. "Those bruses." Ruby says from behind me. "The "Love" of my "family."" I tell her. "My turn." I say and the man turns back to me as he was facing the other adults. He raises his eyebrow and I take it as permission to continue. "What are rouges?" "Packless werewolves." He says. My jaw drops. werewolves? WEREWOLVES!? What the? "They are just a story." I say. 17. That's how old I am today. It's about time too. I was getting sick of being 16. I hear a low rumble being emitted from my chest. I run towards the woods before the change takes over my body. I walk towards the lake noticing that the ducks that used to be there were long gone. I must have scared them. This story is about a dog who was abused and ran away, she found her way into a wolf pack where the Alpha of the pack took interest in her. All she wanted was a family and someone to love her, and thankfully the Alpha and his pack found it in their heart to love her the way that she deserved. "Are you going to ignore me the whole way back?" Night asked walking silently behind me, funny how the tables have turned. "You'd have to try to talk to me in order for me to ignore you" I say matter of factly. I heard a small scoff come from behind me. What the hell was his problem? He's the one that was ignoring me and now that I'm not trying to talk to him, I'm ignoring him? I stopped in my tracks and turned around. Night had to roughly stop so he wouldn't run into me. Now all of a sudden he doesn't want to talk? I stood back up and started walking back, a Sigh was heard behind me but i kept walking. There was no point in trying to strike a conversation with night. Neither one of us knew what to say, and honestly I enjoyed the silence. It gave me time to think about everything. Follow the dog who was later named Alaska through her story. Will she be happy? COMPLETED STORY The agony is like nothing I have ever felt before, I slide in and out of consciousness, I feel the strange sway of the two legged's walk as I am being carried through the woods, I wish to call out to my mate but I am weakened by the torments cast upon me. I have been laid down in the cold snow and my tormenter is digging in the frozen earth, I once again lose consciousness. The next time my eyes flutter open I have cold snow mixed with frozen dirt being thrown on my throbbing frame. I'm not sure what is going on. I'm freezing, hurt, and confused. I rouse to strange smells that are new to me, I'm colder than ever and something is definitely missing. I attempt to stand but immediately fall onto a fur covered ground, wait, fur... Where is my fur?!? Where did my tail go? Why do my paws look bare and have moving sticks coming out of them? Who stretched my legs out? What in tarnation happened to my fur? I guess that would explain why I'm cold. I begin to take in my surroundings, I am in a dead tree shelter but it looks completely different, there is a fire crackling near me but it does little to warm my bare skin, I'm startled by the sound of laughter, I look over and see a two legged is staring at me with a hint of humor in his eye. "You are very confused. I found you almost dead in a non descent grave. You were shot and bruised. I brought you here and made some... changes. It was the only way I could save you." "We mean how did your wounds heal so quickly?" Vincent replied. "Well to get an answer you will have to catch me first." I said running off letting my wolf take over once again, Natalie shifts into my wolf and takes off.
