Linnette is a girl living in the poverty stricken town of Aeker. She must hunt to survive, but her best talent is singing. She uses her voice for money. Things seem to be going well in her little village in the mountains, but soon things change. Linnette is exploring the vast forests that surround her home when a pack of friendly wolves run into her. One hungry wolf (who Linnette believes it may be a hybrid) follows her through the forest. Several days the wolf tracks her down, the Linnette starts to wonder if the wolf is trying to tell her something. After Linnette gets into a tragic accident which almost costs her her memory and an arm, she really starts to wonder what this wolf needs her to know...

Stela was only five when she first met a wolf and became one. From then on, Seff, the chief's daughter, was her life. Now 18 years of age, Seff must make a name for herself, to prove she is ready to lead her pack. As she travels with her close friend, Trekker, they meet two others, Ber and Nita, both of which seem pretty distant. But, one her travel, she meets a bad enemy. Tigers... enemies of the Wolves. Not only do they take Trekker, but she has to figure out a way to fit into life without anything worse happening. Sure... an 18-year-old she-wolf with barely any experience in the human world can handle it.
