"So, is this your favourite place?" Sydney asks.

Hisoka tilts his head and looks at her bemusedly. "Sweetheart, do I seem like someone who likes this city at all?"

Even as he says so, his eyes lose a bit of their manic gleam. The moonlight glistens on his pale face, bringing out his chiseled features. His fiery hair looks even darker in comparison and she tries not to stare.

"Fine," she relents, "I guess that's true."

"Anything more to say?" he challenges. "The night isn't getting any younger, darling."

Sydney lives in a city where those accused of corruption have started to fall at the hands of a notorious serial killer, the Magician. An unfortunate chance encounter causes him to take an interest in her for an evening.
