The opening monologue of a murderer.
Originally written as an English assignment for school. The screenplay format got messed up when I posted it here. There is no complete script, I only wrote this short monologue as an aside.

A certain memory has been persistent in its torments of me lately and has driven me to pick up the pen and start documenting: this year, in the middle of June, I killed a money-lender and his son. I positively destroyed them; the man's skull was split wide open and then the boy's head was caved in. "can you tell me what you saw last night, sweetheart?" the man sat uncomfortably on the chair holding a clipboard. his eyes were as black as night, digging into every hidey hole her body is able to carry. too weak to even open her mouth she just sat and watched him stare at her waiting for her to speak but he knew that this was normal... when a father turns on his own family in the middle of the night, she wouldn't open her mouth even if she was threatened... again. the walls of the broken little girl had been sealed shut and what lays behind it are her dark unspoken thoughts of truth.
