Kevin stared out through the window of the orphanage he stayed in, which is now a home to him.

He could see people trooping in and out. He looked out with hope. Hope that maybe, one of them will be his real parent. Hope that maybe, just maybe, one of them will adopt him.

He couldn't help but wonder how it'd feel like to have parents whom he'll address as mom and dad. Other than nannies or caretakers that claim to be like their parents, but are addressed by their names.

Nothing looks familiar-except the weight of betrayal already burning inside him. He doesn't know who to trust. He doesn't even know if the light that saved him is real... or just another lie. But one thing is clear: the world is falling apart, and he's the only one still standing.
