But as time passes, and as he witnesses one harsh reality after another, he grows closer to the edge. Will he be strong enough to fight his cruel destiny or will the prophecy end up coming true?

Now the future for any sort of clan rests in the paws of four apprentices. But, with the coming of the strangers, the lost clan's destiny is once again tangled with the other three. A dark army is rising, seemingly even stronger than the original, fearsome ShiningClan warriors. Chromepaw is immediately placed in the thick of it all, with her new friends trailing behind her. Blessedkit, born to ShadowClan parents, discovers quickly that he is quite "special" in the eyes of his Clanmates. His brother, Rottenkit, is presumably a filthy-hearted cat who would have become a murderer if he had been allowed to be, and therefore was murdered in the womb by StarClan. And now, Blessedkit's become the unwilling celebrity of not just ShadowClan, but all four Clans. As time progresses and Blessedkit is driven further to madness by the constant unwarranted praise of his Clanmates, it's eventually clear that StarClan made the wrong choice.Complete
