This is a very old tale of The Brother's Grimm, almost 200 years old, or possibly more. This tale is about a young girl who was born with very, very long hair, who was kidnapped at birth by a wicked, old hag. There are many versions of this tale, such as the King stealing lettuce from the hag's garden, and as a punishment the hag took his newborn daughter. Some involve the hag stealing the baby because of it's beauty and youth. Though many versions of this tale has been told over the years, the plot remains the same. It was about a young girl with long hair who was kidnapped at a young age by an old hag, and then confined in a tower with only one window. This version of the tale involves the hag's past. This is the tale of love, loss, and grief. And of course, a little bit of magic.

So before you start reading this it isn't like most fan fictions. It's not like I added on to the story or took a scene and remade it. I have watched Tangled a total of fifteen times since it came out on dvd. I know this movie word for word, song for song. So to the story now. I was watching Tangled the other day and it got to the Kingdom Dance scene, if you don't know it then look it up. As I was doing so I started getting this inspiration to write Tangled but do it completely different. What if Rapunzel had grown up her whole life with her parents with magical powers in her hair but instead they kept her locked up in their castle, in fear that somebody would use her hair. One day she decides to run away from home and runs into the infamous Flynn Ryder who used to live in the Orphanage down the road from the castle. As Flynn tries to help Rapunzel find her way home he begins to rekindle in her a love for her kingdom that she'd once lost, just in time for her eighteenth birthday.Complete
