Haunted

When you were a child, did you often ask your parents to check under the bed for monsters? Did you see shadows creep up on you in the dark? You would yell for your parents and they would show you that nothing was there, then you would calm down and fall asleep. As we all grow older, we don't fear the imaginary monsters.

But one girl can't escape those fears. She can't run or hide from the monsters. She can't go to bed knowing everything is alright.

Because she is the monster.
