Lately, Lourdes Garcia's days have been plagued with death, delirium, and the occasional bouquet of funeral flowers delivered to her doorstep. With her young granddaughter Leslie coming along with her, the pair find themselves in the withering flower shop downtown, and are introduced to its bizarrely charming owner.
Young, eccentric, and full of secrets, Marmee has become the sole survivor of the middle-class family that opened the flower shop in 1985.
Yet the reason for the business's steady decline is apparent, and Leslie and Lourdes are about to discover that Marmee's presence in town is not only one to be fascinated by, but one to be extremely wary of.
