Julian Kekoa was supposed to spend his summer on the beach tackling the Hawaiian waves, but all of that changed after a near-death experience with the sea. Trading in his surfboard for a name tag at one of Maui's finest beach resorts, he's dedicated his summer to working and staying as far away from the water as possible.
Ember Parker has tried to wash the memory of the summer she spent on the island from her mind, but her mother's love for Maui keeps pulling her back. When her sister decides to elope in Maui, Ember is brought back to the very place she's been trying to forget.
