"Huh? Oh, um my apologies Father John. What were you saying?" I snapped out of my stupor and turned my head up towards him.
"You okay? You started staring into space when I asked you why you wanted to become a priest." Father John leaned back into his seat with a look of concern.
I rubbed the back of my neck and looked down at our feet, "just some unsavory things about my childhood. It-it's nothing important." I meekly smiled up at him with a nervous chuckle.
