In honor of Pride I decided to post an excerpt of my upcoming novel 'Change of Heart'.
Noa just wanted to teach his parents a lesson, but ended up tangled in a web of lies, confusion and with some of the best people he's ever met, including his new, fake boyfriend.
This excerpt features snippets from Noa's first Pride, cut in such a way that it doesn't spoil too much of the actual chapter.
The novel itself is still on the editing stage, so it will be a while still, but I wanted to post some bits from the Pride chapter, even if it's still a bit rough.

Lufi Muhamad, an insomniac college dropout with mild anxiety, opens up a Tattoo Parlor right across the street from a small Flower Shop. Trigger Warning: While this book is a majority fluff there are a few angsty bits that face some grim topics including child abuse, dangerous parents, alcohol abuse, homophobia, transphobia, and harassment. This story includes quite a bit of swearing as well (blame my trucker dad for that) so viewer discretion is advised. No Smut whatsoever in this book. (I love y'all but I'm not putting my ace ass through that torture) If you have an idea for a cute date between characters, a friend group excursion, etc. please comment. I will either try to incorporate it in the story itself or make a oneshot book. NOTE: There is no specific schedule. While I will try and update once a week I am still in school and I'm both a part of the theater program and dance team so updates might be inconsistant.Complete

Amar and Adrian have never gotten along. Amar has had to deal with quite a bit of bullying due to the smaller boy and his friends, although it's annoying and makes things hard he deals with it. But maybe, just maybe Adrian has a reason for the way he treats Amar.
