Gerard Way, a 17 year old senior in high school, constantly gets bullied for being gay. He doesn't think he's good enough for anyone and thinks he would be better off dead. Until he meets a boy named Frank. Frank becomes Gerard's purpose for living, but can Gerard live on if something happens to Frank? Or will he be too damaged to carry on?

Frank's family issues seem to swallow him hole which is mainly why he feels like throwing in the towel... permanently. Gerard lives to protect those he cares about. Though, he has a bit of an edgy attitude most people learn to respect. There's more to Gerard than what the outside shows. His brother Mikey and best friend Ray know glimpses of how he really feels, and how complications from the past really fuck with his behavior. But, their differences don't keep them apart considering these strangers are forced into each other's lives when Gerard finds Frank attempting to commit suicide.
