Six Feet Under the Stars

At least when we walked we walked on the streets not at school so everyone could assume that something was about to begin. At least when we talked it was in private and not posted for everyone to see. We had a controlled love. A love that put me under his control but that was Nothing for him. He didn't need me like I needed him. I needed love and he needed lust. But those are two different stories.

Those are the kinds of stories that you don't tell your children. The ones that are full of empty promises and heart filled tears. Maybe that's what we were though. An empty promise. A broken flower amongst the garden of roses. The roses with thorns that hurt when poked to make you bleed. To make you remember everything and every feeling of pain. A pain that broke you and your soul causing you to spill your heart and tears on to any piece of paper. That pain made you bleed but not blood, emotion and feeling. That pain was love.
