Jaime Hobb is next in line to take over the pack. A brief encounter with a vampire in the woods puts her on edge however, and she feels like she is going crazy when she thinks she sees him again at her birthday party. When they run into each other, though, she has to make a decision, be the leader her pack needs her to be, or let her curiosity lead her? Rowen Abram hasn't been able to get Caroline out of his mind ever since she returned to their small town for her aunts funeral. Something about her draws him in, that combined with the pressures of training to become the leader of his own vampire clan has been weighing on him.
