He's never hated someone until he came across his roommate, Atticus Davis.
Atticus, for some reason, doesn't fall victim to Caulor's manipulation nor seems to care. He doesn't realize that he's putting himself in direct danger by even associating with Caulor. He just goes on with life.
And Caulor hates that. He despises Atticus.
