Jack has kept to herself since the outbreak first happened, seeing the value in being alone while the world goes to shit.
Aurora has been sheltered from the the world outside her literal shelter. Having left with her family to her fathers underground bunker when everything first started she has had no real experience of whats to come.
After the government disappeared a militia group was founded months after. They take everything and anything and when they stubble upon Auroras family bunker they are all taken to their base except for Aurora who manages to escape. Newly separated and in the real world for the first time with no clue how to survive she runs into a stoic Jack who has no intention in helping her. Aurora  convinces Jack to help her get her family back not knowing that Jack has a personal vendetta against the militia group and that,s the only reason she agrees. On their journey Aurora tries to get Jack to open up while Jack can't wait to get rid of her.
