Bane is a dragon who terrorized humans for thousands of years, and he would have gone on terrorizing them for centuries if not for a human who stole his form. After falling in love with a human woman, she stole his Dragon Stone and sealed him in human form. Now all he wants is to get back his Stone and return to his true form. He hates the human world that he's now stuck in and is quickly losing faith that he'll ever be a Dragon again.
Faye is a Dryad who loves humans. She finds them fascinating and loves to watch them evolve. She stumbles upon Bane in the forest one day and decides then and there to become his friend and help him find happiness again. She's heard tales of the Dragon's Stone that's been locked away in a cave and she'll do whatever she can to help her friend.
