This is a book that names victims of police brutality, whether their cases have been justified or not. This is my way of supporting Black Lives Matter.

I don't care if 1 person sees this or 1 million people see it. What matters is that I helped to spread information during the time we need it most. If you are reading this story, thank you and please remember these people in our fight for equality.

COMPLETED✅ The punishment for murder is the death penalty, what about love? "Innocent until proven otherwise" Does this apply to matters of the heart? A story in which a lawyer ends up defending an inmate convicted of rape and second degree murder- that he claims he never did. Is he guilty? Is he innocent? Most importantly, is it morally acceptable to fall in love with an alleged murderer and rapist, let alone a client of hers? ❣️❣️❣️ Excerpt: When his shirt is dangling from his hand with him lifting it up towards his face to wear it, I snatch it from his hands. Throw it on the table beside me and grab his neck with one hand and my other traces his defined abs, and kiss him with full force. I thought he might pull away, saying he doesn't feel the same way towards me and I'm just his lawyer. That we're adults and need to refrain from acting like hormonally-driven teenagers. On the contrary -to my surprise - he kisses me back with the same amount of intensity and passion. One hand is on the side of my face and the other is holding me by the waist. We both taste like waffles and fresh strawberries and it's not something to complain about. Only when we're both out of breaths, we pull away, he smiles against me "What was that for?" He asks with his both hands on my waist now. "I've been meaning to do that for a while now" I truthfully answer his question. He has been on my mind 24/7 non stop from the moment I took his case. ❣️❣️❣️ *contains mature themes. *contains swearing. 8/3/2020 -> #1 in OnTrialForMurder #2 in notmeanttobe 8/8/2020 -> #3 in wtfamidoing 10/16/2021 -> #13 in fml 7/20/2021 -> #1 in ihateeverything 10/10/2021 -> #39 in mixedfeelings 4/18/2022 -> #1 in prison #2 in murder #1 in lawyer #1 in damaged

They thought they had everything figured out, but the one thing they didn't plan for was me. "A gripping, fast-paced novel that will keep you guessing until the very end." ONE MINUTE AND TEN SECONDS... Without life. Without a heartbeat. Without breath. Without thought. That's how long I was able to abandon my heartache before the doctors were able to revive me. I know I should've been thankful for the miracle because not many people get to experience death and live to tell about it. Yet, as I lied in a sterile hospital room, reliving the moment I became a martyr for the woman who no longer wanted me, who returned her heart to the hands of my best friend, my heart felt the weight of some brutal truths...I'd lost my girl, my mobility, and my life. I failed to swallow this bitter pill of my new reality and was left alone to wallow in what could've been. I took it out on the people unlucky enough to have to care for me-including the beautiful blonde with chocolate brown eyes, wearing scrubs and a smile that helped me forget the pain that put me there. But I left her ten months ago, and I didn't expect to see her again. At the same mall. About thirty feet away. With a man's arm wrapped around her neck, restraining her. And he's not alone. His men have taken everyone hostage, he's holding her for ransom, and no one is getting out alive unless I risk it all again. ____________ Fractured is the first book in a three-book series of companion novels for the Broken series. Each book can be read as a standalone, though if you plan to read the Broken series, it would be best to read Fractured after the trilogy. PLEASE NOTE: This book contains sensitive subject matter. If you are affected by triggers or have experienced serious trauma, it may not be for you. Not recommended for persons under 18 years of age.
