a warm summer day. he laid there lifeless in my arms. i couldn't do anything. kenma kozume and kuroo tetsurou have been best friends since they were children. one day a terrible accident occurred forcing kenma to live with the grief and guilt of his best friend's passing. that's until kenma meets a boy who brings life to his life for the first time since kuro's death. his name is hinata shouyo.

in most cases, you move on from high school, maybe keep a friend or two, and try and find your way through life. most go to universities, or just work to help their families, or move out. hinata shoyo, however, went to the university of california, on a volleyball scholarship. it was a surprise many expected, not including hinata's best friend. after hearing that hinata is moving, kozume kenma cried. for the first time in a while, kozume broke down, and cried. for hours. what did this mean for their friendship? hinata is the only friend he's made that truly supported kozume, and without that, kozume found it hard to function, after getting used to it. but years have passed. it's been years since kozume contacted hinata, but it's been years, and it's hinata's time to come back.
