It is well known that SEO and SEM are both essential marketing strategies in this digital world. Both of the plans are playing an equal role in getting attention from audiences, generating website traffic for the advancement of the business. But you will be in loss if you think that SEO and SEM are the same. 

SEM: Search engine marketing helps in the advertisement of business and gain maximum visibility in the search engines. It is also called PPC advertising, which is a popular option to run a business. The best result in SEM is possible only after having a strong and unique SEM strategy.  

SEM also uses various paid tactics for the increment of visibility in SERPs. We can give an example of Google Ads, which is one of the areas to search for this strategy. By using this tactic, you can run keyword research and conduct various campaigns that helps in targeting matching keywords for specific industry and their service. If users search those keywords, advertisements will appear at the top or bottom of SERPs. But each click of users made the specific brand to pay a certain amount.   

SEO: Search engine optimization is the most effective way to rank any business at the top of SERPs. It is also a type of organic tactic to make the business visible at the top. Brands never pay for its visibility on SERPS with SEO. But they use a different kind of function and ways that force the search engines to make the content visible at the top. It is done because the best results are accepted and needed for business growth.

Both of them helps business appears in SERPs: SEO and SEM plays a vital role in presenting a brand or business in a strong position on SERPs. They both are equally responsible for a brand to be visible in search results whenever users search for specific business's services or products.
