Ava Calder, a 23-year-old Belgian girl, receives a call from her father, David Calder: the new school that he is building, which is due to open in September, is short of volunteers. Ava, a young schoolteacher but looking for work, returns to Cap Cod, a peninsula on the coast of the United States in the state of Massachusetts, to help her father whom she loves. But upon her arrival, Ava will realize that her father did not bring her only for the future school but to get know better the woman who caused the divorce of her parents. The painful memories resurface, that she had decided to run away five years ago with her mother, Louise Duchamp.

Memories and regrets will overwhelm her even more when Ava finds Chris Evans, her best friend, her first love. Will she accept her father's happiness and give a second chance to the man she had to give up when she left her hometown?

A Maybank and A Cameron? It's almost like a modern Romeo and Juliet. It's forbidden for them to be together. Could be the end of the world. The stolen glances, the hidden feelings, the unspoken words, the secret meetings and the obvious hatred towards each other followed by constant conflicts and some hidden past that threatened them but there are always invisible strings tied and pulling them together no matter how hard the tides trying to pull and part them away from each other.
